## Overview

Phones go into a locked box on arrival, and the group spends a full day by the lake walking, rowing, cooking and talking.

Sapanca is ninety minutes from Istanbul, far enough to feel away and close enough for a day trip. On arrival at a lakeside lodge each guest seals their phone in a labelled pouch that goes into a locked box; we give the office an emergency number that rings our coordinator.

The day has a loose structure. A morning walk around the lake shore, then a journaling session with a facilitator who gives simple prompts about work, attention and rest. After lunch the group rows or paddles on the lake, and in the late afternoon cooks dinner together in the lodge kitchen with a local cook: gözleme, salads from the garden and grilled trout.

The facilitator closes the day around a fire, asking what people noticed without their phones and which one habit they want to keep. Phones come back out only on the coach home.
