How it works

What goes into the score

Weather comfort

Typical daytime highs: 20–27 °C scores best; extreme heat or cold scores low. 45% of the score.

Season & fare pressure

Low, shoulder and peak seasons per destination, plus holiday and fair spikes. 35% of the score.

Holidays & disruptions

Ramadan, Eid, Turkish public holidays and resort closures. 20% of the score.

Fairs & congresses

Trade fairs from our calendar push up city hotel rates on their dates.

Methodology and limits

  1. Daily score = 45% weather comfort + 35% (1 − price pressure) + 20% (1 − disruption). Windows and months show the average of their days.
  2. Seasonality is an indicative 1–5 index per destination and month compiled by our team (e.g. Türkiye coast peaks in July–August, Istanbul has spring and autumn congress peaks, the Gulf is low season in summer heat).
  3. Ramadan and Eid dates follow astronomical (Umm al-Qura) calculations and may move by ±1 day per country. Eid spikes include two travel days either side.
  4. Turkish public holidays: 1 January, 23 April, 1 May, 19 May, 15 July, 30 August, 29 October, plus Ramadan Bayramı and Kurban Bayramı.
  5. Fare pressure per departure city adds school holidays in that market and Eid travel peaks for Gulf and Turkish departures. It is a relative index, not a price.
  6. Trade fairs come from our trade-fair calendar: confirmed dates count on those days; otherwise the usual month counts lightly.
  7. Data reviewed: 2026-10-15

FAQ

Dates finder questions

When is the best time for a company event on the Turkish coast?
Usually April–May and late September–October: warm sea and sunshine without the July–August peak in prices and crowds.
Should we avoid Ramadan and Eid?
Eid weeks are the hardest: Gulf and Turkish travellers fill hotels and flights. Ramadan itself can work well in Türkiye and, with an iftar-friendly programme, in MENA.
Are the fare levels real prices?
No. We have no live fare feed; fare pressure is an indicative index from seasons, holidays and school breaks. We confirm real prices in your proposal.
Is the Gulf too hot in summer?
June–September highs often exceed 40 °C, so programmes move indoors. Hotel rates are low, which can suit conference-style events.
