Dalyan's river winds through reed beds between Lake Köyceğiz and the sea. Your group boards a private wooden river boat and passes beneath the rock-cut tombs of ancient Kaunos, carved into the cliff more than 2,000 years ago.

A guide leads a walk through the ruins of Kaunos, with its theatre and harbour, before the boat continues to İztuzu beach, a protected nesting site for loggerhead turtles. There is time for a swim and a visit to a turtle rescue and research centre near the beach.

Lunch is served on board or at a riverside restaurant. On the way back, guests can stop at the mud baths and hot springs if they wish.
