Ebru is the Ottoman art of floating pigments on thickened water and transferring the pattern to paper; it is on UNESCO's intangible heritage list. The workshop is led by a master ebru artist and assistants, either in their studio or set up in your meeting room.

The master opens with a ten-minute demonstration of a classic tulip design, then each guest works at their own tray. Everyone starts with a simple battal (stone) pattern, then moves on to combed designs and, for the confident, a flower. Most people make four to six prints in a session.

Prints are dried and placed in card frames to take home. The workshop is calm and quiet, which makes it a good counterweight to a heavy meeting day.
