Team mosaic workshop

Anatolia holds some of the finest Roman mosaics in the world, from Zeugma to Antakya. A mosaic artist opens with ten minutes on how they were made, then hands each team of six to eight a numbered panel, a section of the design and trays of glass and stone tesserae.

Teams cut tesserae with mosaic nippers and lay them on the panel, matching colours and lines with the teams on either side. They have to agree on where the borders meet, so a runner from each team visits the neighbours; the artist watches and helps keep the joins clean. The design can be a classic Anatolian motif or your company's own logo or values, which we prepare in advance.

In the last half hour the panels are grouted and joined on a frame, and the whole group sees the finished picture for the first time. We deliver the mosaic to your office, mounted and ready to hang.
