Bodrum sailing regatta

Teams of six to eight each get a racing yacht and a professional skipper. Nobody needs sailing experience: the morning is a training session on the water in which the skipper assigns roles (helm, trim, tactics, foredeck) and runs drills until the crew can tack and gybe on command.

After lunch at anchor, a race committee boat sets a course of buoys and starts two or three short races. The format rewards clear communication and quick decisions more than strength, which is why it works well for leadership teams. A media boat follows the fleet and films the starts.

Back at the marina, results are announced at a prize-giving with drinks on the pontoon. In Çeşme we run the same format from Alaçatı, where the afternoon wind is steady.
